A "National Duolian" Vintage guitar from 1934, with a great history.
Originally owned by Mayford D Brooks of Tennessees who played in the area for numerous years before being called up and sent to Europe to fight in the Second World War. Sadly he never made it back.
It remained with his family unplayed until 2 years ago. Unchanged and totally original from the day it was made, it's beautiful tones are now played in a Blue Grass band on a regular basis, a fitting tribute to a wonderful guitar.
This is a commission piece, and I Hope Nick enjoys the work as much as i've enjoyed drawing it.
A3 Smooth Bristol Board, 19 hours with H2-B4 Graphite, Blenders, Pencil rubber.
